CIVIC in Venice: Week Three - Making Books

We we have begun to translate the information on 'insignificant' spaces with the 'intermotional mapping' workshops which have taken place during the first few weeks of the residency.

Each coloured shape on our map of Venice represents one person's feelings about that place, at a particular moment in time. We've combined the shapes to create new imaginary spaces for Venice, made from collective feelings and emotions, some shared through discussion, and some private or secret.

These new shapes will be called 'campi', based on the campi that are so prevalent in the existing geography of Venice.

Gabriele let us use his stamp set, which was really nice, and we've enjoyed the more physical/tactile side of production during the past few weeks, something we haven't done for a while due to the digital nature of recent works.
