THE FINE LINE BETWEEN US
INSTALLATION OF FOUND LINE. COLLAGE, STONES & WHITE-TACK ON BLACK EMULSION.

An actual-size replica of a line found between an institute of education and an institute of lawful judgement; left as a mark with apparently no use, other than to highlight the divide between the two worlds it separates. In this work, Jason & Becky draw our attention not only to the physical line of division left on the pavement, but also to the permeable nature of the social divisions we use to define
ourselves.
The life-sized replica has been installed in Swansea Metropolitan University, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in Chonqing, China, and In Other Words, Fringe Arts Bath 2013. Initially devised as a site-specific project, The Fine Line Between Us was also published in life-size book format.
